Worship
Music at Community exists to lead people in worship of God. We believe that in order for a person to truly worship God they must worship Him in “spirit and in truth.” In other words, worship requires not only an attitude of awe, but also an attitude of obedience to God’s Word. At Community we use any style of music that we believe will help us worship as Jesus commanded in John chapter 4. At times, this might involve a classic hymn while other times our worship might include a contemporary song.
As we prepare every worship service, we keep in mind that we are not merely leading a group of people in a set of songs. Our vocalists and musicians desire to lead you in true worship as you focus your heart on God. Leading songs and leading people in worship are two different things. At Community, you will not be led in a bunch of songs that merely fill time. You will be led in worship by people who have a heart for God. Opportunities always exist for individuals to either interview or audition for our praise band, background vocals (BGVs) or tech team.
