• Do my kids stay with me the whole time?

It depends on their age; and please note, you are welcome to keep your kids with you in the service the whole time even if their age group offers something else.

    • Kids up through Pre-K are checked into their wing from the start where they’ll receive wonderful care, and for the older kids, an age-appropriate lesson.
    • For kids age Kindergarten-3rd grade, they join the service through the first several songs. We believe it’s important to introduce kids to and model for them, the beauty and significance of congregational praise. After a few songs, we pause for prayer, and at that time dismiss that age group back to their own class for their lesson.
    • For 2 weeks of the month, we also dismiss kids age 4th grade-6th grade for a class aimed at their stage. This way as a child ages out of kids’ ministry, we’ve prepared them for the full service.
    • For grades 7th and up, we want them to be in the full service every week; we believe it’s important the next generation sees themselves as fully part of the church so when they become young adults it’s not a foreign concept to them to join in with everyone else.
  • Is there a space for nursing moms or if my toddler gets fussy?

Yes! We have a room with one-way glass in the back of the sanctuary so you can have privacy and a greater degree of quietness without needing to miss the service.

  • What should I wear?

Your clothes. Don’t worry about dressing up or down for anyone else. You’ll see ties, sweatshirts, khakis, jeans, dresses, etc. You’ll find someone dressed like you.

  • Is your church handicap accessible?

Yes, our sanctuary, community room for pre-service prayer or coffee, and restrooms are all accessible.

  • Can I watch services online if I can’t attend in person?

Absolutely! If for any reason you can’t make our in-person service, you can always watch it live or watch it back here on our YouTube channel.

  • Can I talk to a pastor?

If you have any other questions or simply want to talk to a pastor, just let us know by sending an email to pastors@discovercommunity.org.
